Funeral services for Scott Johnson of Roseau will be held on Saturday, March 5th at 2 PM at Messiah Lutheran Church in Roseau.  Visitation will be on Friday from 5-7 PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau.  Interment will be at Hope Cemetery.

Scott Richard Johnson of Roseau, MN passed away on March 1, 2016 at his home in Roseau at the age of 56.

Scott was born on November 19, 1959 in Roseau to Richard and Gail (Johnston) Johnson.  He was baptized at the English Lutheran Church and confirmed at Messiah Lutheran Church.  He graduated from Roseau High School in 1978, lettering in hockey, golf and football all four years; and placed 3rd in the State Golf Meet.  He attended U of M-Crookston and Control Data School studying information technology.  He worked in Sacramento, CA for 8 years at NEC in the justice department.  He returned to Roseau in 1993 working for a short time at Arctic Cat before starting his 20 plus year career at Polaris Industries as an I.T. technician.

Scott enjoyed playing hockey and golf, loved his time at Rocky Point and fishing when he was younger.  He was proud of his kids and enjoyed going to their many activities.  He coached youth hockey in Roseau and will be remembered as a great cook and a friend to many.  Blessed be his memory.

He is survived by his children, Tyler Johnson and Zach Johnson of Roseau and Erin Doss-Johnson and Sarah Doss-Johnson of Rosemount, MN; parents, Dick and Gail Johnson of Roseau; sister, Deb Novotny of Roseau; nieces, Abby and Holly and nephew, Avery.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents and niece, Jenny Lynn.
