Tom, Chuck, Dale: sorry to hear of your loss. Your Dad was a great guy, always with a quick smile and a welcoming manner. I have many fond memories of the times we crossed paths including a time I flew into MSP airport, returning from South America and he just happened to be there either waiting for a flight or something. We were both surprised and took the opportunity to catch up.

Dale, Chuck, and Tom - so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was quite a guy. He always said he saved sister Beda's life by giving her blood some 60 years ago and he did. Lots of good memories of him and Lenore.

Many memories of Elmer.. He had a wonderful way of telling jokes, many times, funnier than the joke itself (Ole & Lena for ex.). As I drove thru Roseau to go fishing, I would look to see if he was home. We would trade the latest info on where and what to fish with. I would run into him sometimes ah the Legion and enjoy a libation. He was a wonderful person, whom I always looked forward to seeing. I give him the a great walleye toast AND MY FISHING ROD TO HIM !!!!!!! Allyson and Eric

We never had the opportunity to know Elmer and yet we feel we know him a great deal since we have had the privilege of being friends of his son Tom and his wife Brenda and their family. All of the qualities found in his father are so evident in his son Tom. That upbeat, caring , passionate, family loving spirit.....will live on through his sons and their families. This day we grieve with you as you remember someone you love so much. You are in our hearts and in our prayers.
We love you,
Norm and Marilyn

Dearest Uncle Elmer was a gentleman to all who knew him. Our Erickson family has been blessed by wonderful and loving aunts and uncles. The Erickson brothers and sisters loved each other, and showed us how family siblings should treat each other at a young age. Our fine family gatherings are great memories to us all! We have been blessed to have Elmer with us in our life, and he will be greatly missed. My parents, the late Clarence (Elmer's brother) and mother, Jeanette, as well as my brother Douglas, sisters Carmen and Patricia, and myself, will always honor our family lineage. Aunt Lenore and sons have lost a wonderful man in their lives. We will miss our Uncle and the joy and his witty jokes he could come up with. He touched us all with his love. He was precious.

Condolences from the Kohls family on the loss of Elmer. Although we are all saddened by his passing we are joyful that his life had such a positive impact on his family. Elmer lives on through Toms testimony, his choice of Brenda as his wife and his Legacy already evident in Ashley and Shelby as well as the rest of the family and friends who he blessed with his integrity, laughter and good taste in Pickeled Herring. We love you all! May God Be with you all in the days and weeks ahead. Kris, Deb and family.

Elmer was a truly wonderful uncle!
He once drove to Bemidji to pick me up when I missed my bus connection.
His hospitality was unsurpassed. Always ready to share his catch of fish and then fried them for us.
His memory for jokes amazed us all!
May he rest comfortably with the Lord!
