If you are original to Warroad you grew up with the Wilmer Family. They were a part of the Warroad History. Yes his "Ya Ya" still vibrates around Warroad. Lloyd you will be missed. Condolences to all of you.

A true legend of Warroad will be missed He was a true hard working American that I am proud to say that I looked up to him ..as many other people did . I Know that the work ethic that I got come directly from the experience of working at Super Valu and I'm sure that many feel the same !

Very saddened to read of Lloyd's passing in the paper. He was one of the first people in Warroad to show Kathy and I kindness and offer help and welcome to us. Loved his sense of humor and was fortunate to serve with him in LIons for many years. God bless you Lloyd. Praying for comfort, peace, healing and many warm memories for Lloyd's family now and in the time to come. Some day you will all be together. Take care.

To the Family of Lloyd Wilmer
I worked for Lloyd in the early 70's, and have to say he was the best boss I ever had. He was kind and considerate, and he made a person want to do a good job for him. I have seen him off and on over the past years, and he never failed to remember me and give me a big grin and handshake. I will miss him, as I am sure you will also. My sincere sympathy in your loss.

Lloyd did his very best as his health waned. He was an example for everyone to live by and be kind in whatever you do, wherever you are and to whomever comes your way.
Your family is very fortunate to have had a husband and father as Lloyd was.
Remember the song he is singing now: I'll be standing on the far side bank of Jordan, I'll be waiting drawing pictures in the sand. And when I see you coming, I will rise up with a shout, and come running through the shallow water reaching for your hand!

Lloyd served as treasurer for the Warroad chamber of commerce for many years. He suggested that the chamber should not only have a balanced budget but a surplus so he could pay our bills on time. That goal was accomplished during Lloyd's tenure. We should have sent him to Washington! The Wilmer family was always respected around Williams. Lloyd being the oldest of the Wilmer boys set a great example on the basketball court and how he lived his life. Wonderful memories of a wonderful man, he will be missed. May God be with you all during your time of grief.
