A Memorial Visitation for Janean St. Amour of Warroad, MN will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016 from 5-7 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad.
Janean Cheryl (Frisbie) St.Amour passed away on June 1, 2016 at Grand Forks Altru Hospital at the age of 67 with her children by her side.
Janean C. St.Amour was born November 3, 1948 to Kenneth and Gladys (Drake) Frisbie in Nimrod, MN. She grew up there and graduated from Sebeka High School in 1966. After graduation she moved to Minneapolis and worked as a Bookkeeper.
She married David J. St.Amour October 1, 1966 in Wadena, MN. They moved to Munising, Michigan for a few years, later moved to Wadena, MN and Perham area. Janean worked as a Bookkeeper for Karvonen Furniture until 1993. They moved to Warroad, MN in 1993 and she worked at various jobs: Wilmer’s Red Owl, Pamida and Marvin Windows.
Janean loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She made many quilts for all her grandchildren. She also made many quilts for the babies born too soon that helped comfort grieving families. She liked to go out to rummage sales, going to the casino, reading True Crime novels, knitting, embroidery and quilting.
She is survived by two children and their spouses, Theresa St.Amour-Muff (Brian) Muff of Breckenridge, MN and Bradley (Michelle) St.Amour of Warroad, MN. Five grandchildren and one step-grandson; Meghan Knowlton, Summer St.Amour, Zachary Muff, Rhiannon Muff, Becky Barney and Justin Johnson. Four brothers, Gary Frisbie, Gene (Annie) Frisbie, Gail (Judy) Frisbie and Pick (Peggy) Frisbie. Also her spoiled beagle, Lucy. She was preceded in death by her husband David; parents, Gladys and Kenneth Frisbie and her oldest brother, Bud Frisbie. She is much loved and we will miss her deeply. “Be joyous and happy for I am not gone, I have merely returned.”
