My sympathies to you and your family, Marianne. I so enjoyed visiting with Ed on occasions at Salol Lutheran, and my good memories of him go way back to the grocery store on the corner when Erick and Irene owned it. I remember him operating the dragline for Grahns--we visited a couple times on the ditch grade when he was taking a break, and he discussed how the machine worked and how he had to put his full weight on the clutch pedals while ditching to operate the winches. The story I found most memorable was his recount of foiling the burglars who recently tried to break in when the two of you were home. Ed is another of the stalwarts in the community who will be sadly missed and frequently remembered.

So very sorry for your loss! He was a great man and we will miss him dearly! You will be in our prayers at this very sad time and always!
