Wallace "Wally" Geisenhof Obituary

A memorial service will be held for Wally Geisenhof of Williams MN on June 25th at the Roosevelt Legion hall at 1:00pm

Wallace (Wally) Geisenhof age 83 passed away on June 14th 2022 at the Roseau Hospital. Wally was born April 27,1939 in Warroad MN. to Louie Geisenhof and Ester (Bruce) Geisenhof. Wally grew up in Warroad where he attended school. On August 25, 1976 Wally married the love of his life Wendy Story in Williams MN. Together they started their life in Williams MN. And in 1978 they started their family with a beautiful baby girl named Tammy, she would be the only child they were able to have. Her life was short but together they gave her a life time of love just as she did them.

Wally worked for many years at Marvin windows and he also did some field work for Estling's and Bernard's. Wally loved to garden, go camping, fishing, hunting and raising his horses, dogs and cats. He loved traveling with his wife to Arkansas and Montana to visit family till they all moved back to Minnesota. He adored all of his nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with them. Wally had an amazing heart and would help anyone he could if he was able to. I'm pretty sure there wasn't a place he went where he didn't know someone or someone didn't know him. An if there was by the time he left he knew them and they knew him. He was always up to tell a good story, try to scare the heck out of you or just make you laugh. He loved being around people and socializing so if there was anything going on like the flee market or thrashing bee you could guarantee Wally would be there. That was just the type of person he was all the way to the end.

Wally was an amazing Husband, Father, Son, Son-in-law, brother, brother in-law, uncle and friend to all. He will be forever missed by everyone who knew him.

Wally is survived by his in-laws Rodger and Rachel Story of Roseau MN, Robin Levecesque of Roseau, Ernie Story, Rodney Story, and Archie Story of Williams MN. Many nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews.

Wally is preceded in death by his wife Wendy Geisenhof, daughter Tammy Geisenhof, parents Louie Geisenhof and Ester Geisenhof, in-laws Lester and Doris  Story, brother Walter Geisenhof, sister In-law Julie Legreid, brother in-law Larry Legreid, and several nieces and nephews
