Virginia M. Rehder

Heaven gained a very special angel, Virginia “Ginny” Rehder (Groven), 92, on October 9, 2020.

Ginny was born in Badger, MN.  She graduated from Concordia College, in Moorhead, MN, where she met her husband, Dennis. They were an adventurous couple, who moved often, and lived in MN, Alaska, and AZ.

Ginny was a soft spoken, bright, thoughtful, caring and gentle soul. She was Norwegian and Danish. She loved thunder, Hardanger embroidery and was a wonderful letter writer. She was a pen pal to many, all over the world.

Ginny, a librarian, was so generous and shared her love of books. In 2015 Ginny and Dennis returned to MN, and settled down at Eventide Assisted Living in Moorhead, then the Care Center. The family wants to thank the Eventide staff and friends for the exceptional care and love that they showed them.

Ginny was preceded in death by her husband Dennis, 3 brothers – Paul (Dorothy), Howard (Lou), Leonard, and brother-in-law Gordan. She is survived by sister-in-law Delores, nieces and nephews, the Robins letter writers, and so many friends.

Memorials are preferred to Eventide in Moorhead. A private service will be held in Badger, MN at a later date.
