Vernon E. Foss

Vernon E. Foss, 75, of Roseau, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, at Lifecare Manor in Roseau.

He was born on August 24, 1949, to Abe and Cora Foss.  Vernon proudly served his country in the United States Army for two years, stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, and served during the Vietnam War before being honorably discharged.

Following his military service, Vernon built a career as a welder at Polaris, where he worked for 13 years. He found great joy in gardening and had a passion for motorcycles, making memorable trips to Sturgis with friends.

On May 31, 1975, Vernon married the love of his life, Sheryl (Loftstrom) Foss, at Moe Lutheran Church in Roseau. Their marriage was blessed with many wonderful years together.

Vernon is survived by his beloved wife Sheryl; his son Jerry; his grandson Dustyn Foss; his brother Tom Foss; and his sister Carol (Frank) Poell. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

A Funeral Service for Vernon E. Foss of Roseau, MN, will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau, MN. Visitation will be held one hour before the service.
