Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to Timothy Coninx. After a brief battle with pancreatic cancer, he passed away at home January 25th surrounded by family. We will dearly miss him.
Tim was born July 17, 1957 in Bemidji Minnesota. He graduated from Lake of the Woods HS in 1975. Tim then attended AP technical school in Thief River. Timbo headed to Alaska in 1984 to pursue his love of hunting, fishing, trapping, and airplanes. He worked as a government contractor, for Markair, and Smith Aero before starting Apex Aviation service and kept the Alaskan pilots safe and in the air. He returned to Baudette in 2014 and worked at the Baudette airport. His knowledge and service to the airport will be greatly missed. Timbo loved hunting and fishing in the area he grew up in.
Tim is preceded in death by his father Walter Coninx. Survived by his mother Ida, sister Cindy Gennes, sister Debra Giunta (Tony), brother Mike Coninx, sister Carrie Volkert(Tony) and brother Patrick and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Timothy "Timbo" Coninx of Baudette will be held at Helgeson Funeral Home in Baudette on February 11, 2023 from 2:00-4:00pm. Interment will be held at Elm Park Cemetery later this spring.
