Sherry R. Severson

A Memorial Service for Sherry R. Severson of Roseau, MN will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 5:00PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Sherry Rae Severson, age 57, passed away on March 8, 2020, at her home in Roseau, MN. 

 Sherry was born on August 24, 1962, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Raymond and Loretta (Erickson) Severson.

 Sherry lived most of her life in Roseau, MN, where she attended Focus, Corp., a facility that provides person-centered day training and habilitation services for people with developmental disabilities.

 Sherry was kind and a friend to those who knew her.  Her happy-go-lucky demeanor, sparkling personality, and infectious smile brightened those around her.  Sherry loved to be around others and it was important to her to look her best at all times.  She loved getting her hair and nails done and had to wear her jewelry every day.

 Sherry enjoyed being helpful to others and often was one step ahead of everyone else.   She also had a love for music.  She liked a variety of genres and would hold on tight to her portable speaker and smile as she listed to her tunes.  Some other activities Sherry enjoyed was to go for long walks or rides to soak up all the beauty around her, doing crafts projects such as coloring, and attending concerts or other activities around town.

 Sherry will always be admired for her determination to be as independent as possible despite her many challenges.  She leaves this world a legacy of kindness and inspiration and she will be missed dearly.
