Rose Marie (Davidson) Fredrickson

Rose Marie (Davidson) Fredrickson was born to Aaron and Daryl (Cole) Davidson on March 14, 1927 in Winner in Beltrami State Forest. The oldest of 10 children, she attended Winner country school thru 5th grade. The family moved near Badger, MN and she attended Stokes country school 6th through 8th grade. She worked at several jobs including Budd Hospital, Encore Café, and Red Owl.

She married Russell J. Dahl on July 7, 1945 in Pencer, MN. They made their home in Falun and in 1964 they moved to Roseau. Rose worked for Langlies Hartz Store for 10 years and sewing in Polaris for 17 years. They also cleaned Citizens State Bank for 22 years. Rose and Russell had three children, Stephen, Madelyn, and Connie. Russell passed away on March 7, 2001. Rose married Roland Fredrickson on November 1, 2003. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, bingo, and especially all her many grandchildren.

Rose is survived by her son Stephen (Bernie) Dahl of Roseau; daughter Connie Gillen of Roseau; stepchildren Steven Fredrickson, Susan Sorvaag, Marsha Hagen, and Michael Kvarnlov; 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren; sisters Clara Robb, Joyce Davy; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Russell Dahl (March 7, 2001); husband Roland Fredrickson (June 8, 2015); daughter Madelyn Kitzan; grandson Travis Gillen; great granddaughter Megan Engebritson; stepson Craig Kvarnlov; brothers John Davidson and David Davidson; sisters Georgine Sellen, Barbara Robb, Betty Sulland, Daryle McDonald, and Joanne Morey

A Funeral Service for Rose M. Fredrickson of Roseau will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau at 2:00pm with a visitation an hour prior. There will also be a visitation the night before, Wednesday, May 24 at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau from 5:00-7:00pm. Interment will be held at Falun Cemetery.
