Obituary
Robert Johnson passed away on August 21, 2022 at LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau, MN, at the age of 71.
Robert William Johnson was born on March 6, 1951, in Highland Park, IL, to Elmer W. and Mary M (O’Neill) Johnson. He had three siblings – Lynne, David and Barbara. Bob attended school in Riverside, IL and graduated from Riverside Brookfield High School.
Robert spent the majority of his working years as an over-the-road trucker, which took him to many parts of the country. He lived in Badger, MN for a short while but eventually landed in Roseau. He loved fishing, whether in Lake Michigan or Lake of the Woods – he was always looking for the BIG walleye.
During the early 2000’s Bob worked for the Roseau County Historical society doing computer work through the Experience Works program. He spent four years there, updating obituary data bases and family files. Bob spent a lot of time helping out at the Pioneer Farm west of Roseau and he was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseau.
Bob is survived by his siblings – Lynne Johnson, David Johnson and Barbara (Jonathan) McGinn; a niece, Olivia Johnson and nephew, William (Yazmin) McGinn.
A private family burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Worth, IL.
