Richard Fuller Obituary

A Memorial Service for Richard A. Fuller of Roseau, MN will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Military honors provided by the Roseau Memorial Honor Guard.

Richard Allen Fuller was born on July 12, 1946 in Warroad, MN. He grew up out in the Minnesota hill area and attended grade school in Ross before graduating from Roseau High School in 1964. He would then go on to serve in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 and was stationed in Thailand. After completing his service he worked for SandSteel for a short time before he became employed at Polaris in Roseau, MN. He then went on to work at Marvin in Warroad, MN and retired from there after 35 years.

Richard married Jackie and they had 2 sons Jason and Chad while living in salol, Richard eventually married LaRayne in 1999 and bought a little hobby farm where they enjoyed gardening and each others company.

He enjoyed being in the outdoors, hunting fishing and spending time at deer camp. His true passion was his time spent in the woods trapping. Richard also loved old tractors, he was always shopping for his next tractor.

He is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Norstebon; sister, Gloria Knight-Smith; grandson, Tucker Fuller; nieces, Brittney Norstebon and Brenda Larson.

Richard is survived by his wife, LaRayne Gjovik; sons, Jason ( Sharron Maki) Fuller of Roseau, Chad (Misty Yonke) of Roseau; step-children, Glory Gjovik Mitchell of Cloquet, Greg Gjovik of Grand Forks, Grady Gjovik of Duluth; grandchildren, Roger Fuller, Trina Fuller, Parker Fuller, Hudson Fuller, Samantha Fuller, Cheyenne Fuller, Whitney Gjovik, Dylan Gjovik; mother, Ruby Norstebon; siblings, Darrell (Mary) Norstebon of Cass Lake, Arlyn (Sandy) Norstebon of Northome, LeRoy (Wendy Ostby) of Roseau, Carol (Richard) Doremus of Nordland, WA, Marcia (Bruce) Davis of Dent, and Kaylyn (Keith) Battles of Roosevelt.
