Paula A. Olson

Paula Angela Olson of Warroad MN, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021 at the age of 70. Per Paula’s wishes there will be no funeral services. Paula continues to give in death as she did in life by choosing to donate her body to the University of Minnesota’s Anatomy Bequest Program.

Paula A Olson was born on June 29, 1951 to Fred and Jeannette Eldridge in International Falls, MN.  She grew up and graduated from high school there.  In 1969 she married Jerome Olson and they had two children, John Olson and Judy Olson.  In the early 2000’s they moved to Warroad where Paula worked at various retail businesses.

Paula had many hobbies such as reading, sewing and baking.  She was always making goodies to give to her garbage men, delivery personnel, mechanics, friends, and loved ones.  Paula especially cherished the coffee dates with her girlfriends.  Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the highlight of her life.  She absolutely adored the time she spent with them and when she couldn’t see them, she was sure to send a message to brighten their day.

Paula is survived by her children, John (Tabitha) Olson of Skime, Judy Olson of Warroad; grandchildren, Cole (Tana Stauffacher) Olson, Mercede Olson, Danielle Olson; great-grandchildren, Ryker Olson, Tyson Olson, Marvin Stauffacher and Presley Olson; sisters, Brenda (Mark) Strom of Hopkins, Avis Juelson of Bemidji, Meg (Jeff) Johnson of International Falls, Leeann Brown of Canada and Carrie Ann (Brian) Brown of Canada, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jerome, her parents and brother. The world will definitely be a little bit dimmer without her bright light. May she rest in Paradise.
