Patricia Burkel-Haugen

Private services will be held in the spring of 2021 for Patricia Ann Burkel-Haugen. 

Patricia Ann Burkel-Haugen, age 80 of Roseau, MN passed away on October 18, 2020 at the LifeCare Roseau Manor, surrounded by her family.

Patricia was born on December 11, 1939 in Scobey, MT to Pete and Nettie Tkachyk.  She grew up and Scobey and moved to Greenbush, MN as a young girl.  She married Robert Burkel Sr.  They raised turkeys until Robert’s death in 1992.  Patricia worked for “Across the Street” in Badger, MN for many years.  The last six years, she has resided in Roseau.

She enjoyed fishing, boating, playing cards (especially pinocle and whist) with her family and neighbors.  She will be remembered as a hardworking and outgoing person.  Blessed be her memory.

She is survived by her 6 children, Don Burkel of Greenbush, Debbie Erickson of Warroad, George Burkel of Greenbush, Robert Burkel of Wannaska, Barb Burkel of Greenbush and Joey Burkel of Roseau; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Packman, Ralph Tkachyk and Paul Tkachyk all of Montana.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and two sisters, Jeanne and Delores.
