Nathan Ryan Smith

A celebration of Nathan’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 2 PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad, MN.

Nathan Ryan Smith, born on December 13, 1982, passed away on November 8, 2024. Nathan was the beloved son of Leonard Smith and Sandra Hilti. Born in Bemidji, MN, he moved to Warroad at the age of five and attended Warroad School, where he later earned his GED.

Nathan worked at various places throughout his life, showcasing his versatile skills and dedication. He had a passion for fishing and attending concerts, which brought him great joy. Known for his mechanical abilities, Nathan spent countless hours working on cars and selling them. His love for friends and family was evident in everything he did.

Nathan will be deeply missed by his mother Sandra Hilti and stepfather Joe Hilti; his brother Zachary Hilti; and his nieces, Jasmine and Isabella Hilti. He is also survived by many friends and extended family. Nathan was preceded in death by his father Leonard Smith; his grandparents, Clayton Westrum, Emily Hook-Taber, Carl Hilti, and Sadie Hilti; and his uncle Lance Westrum.
