A Memorial Service for Nanh Khamphoumy of Warroad, MN will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 12 PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau, MN. Visitation will be held on Friday 13, February, 2026 from 6-8PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau, MN.

Nanh Khamphoumy, age 74 passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Warroad, surrounded by close family and friends.

He was born on May 22, 1951, in Ban Dong Phou, Savannakhet Province, Laos. From humble beginnings, his life was defined by strength, wisdom, and unwavering faith. He was simple in his ways, yet rich in knowledge--soft spoken, yet strong;humble, compassionate, and deeply devoted to those he loved.

At age 18, he was admitted into a secondary engineering diploma program under the Ministry of Education in Laos. His technical training reflected his dedication to learning and his determination to build a better future. He deeply believed in education, service, and leading by example. Throughout his life, he served as a teacher, mentor, and guide to many, always offering wisdom with patience and emphasizing the importance of not only knowing what is right, but acting upon it.

Nanh was a devoted husband and loving father. He is survived by his wife, Malayvanh,and his son Randy. He enjoyed playing bocce ball, fishing, and hunting with his friends, but his greatest joy was spending it with time with his nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. 

His words of wisdom to us were always:
"Do what bring you happiness, but let it be guided by kindness and a peaceful heart."

May his spirit continue its journey guided by light, compassion, and the peaceful wisdom he shared with us all.
