Nadene Marie Johnston

Nadene Marie Johnston of Warroad, Minnesota, passed away on January 17, 2026 surrounded by family after a sudden illness. Nadene was passionate about her family and friends, her community, and her faith. She treasured creating a loving home, spending time in her flower gardens, cuddling with her pets, and watching the birds, wildlife, and sunsets from her home along the banks of the Warroad River.

Nadene is survived by Alan, her husband of 58 years; children Derrik, Stacy (Mike), DeWayne (Jacey); grandchildren Dante, Luka, Chris (Ilse), Allison, Matt; great grandchildren Madison, Jackson, and Hudson; brothers Tony (Sandy), Kris (Laura), and Jim Moen.

A celebration of life will be held this spring in Warroad.

Those wishing to honor Nadene are invited to make a donation to the Lake of the Woods Humane Society, reflecting her lifelong compassion for animals.

Nadene will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
