Melissa Laster Obituary

Melissa Laster passed away on September 28, 2021 in Baudette, Minnesota at the age of 53.

Melissa Gail was born in Chicago, IL on March 5, 1968 to Ernest and Delores Laster. She grew up on the Southside of Chicago and attended John Hope Middle School and Chicago Vocational High School. She later moved to Riverdale, IL where she worked in the hospitality business as a front desk receptionist. Melissa lived in Illinois for 40 years and decided it was time for a change and moved to Baudette, MN. She continued working as a front desk receptionist for Cyrus Resort, where she was very well loved! "Her smile could make a bad day turn amazing!" Melissa loved Minnesota and had grown fond of a life of fishing and being on the lake.

Melissa Gail Laster went home to be with our God on September 28, 2021. Melissa is survived by her older brothers, Bruce Harris, Ernest (Kerrie) and Tyrell Laster and younger sister Tasha (Paul) Nettles, as well as numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services for Melissa will be held in Bolingbrook, IL later in October.
