MaryAnn Jesme, 83, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, at Roseau Manor. She was born on January 20, 1942, to William and Marion VanDeHey.
On June 6, 1959, MaryAnn married the love of her life, Curtis Jesme, in Williams, Minnesota. Together they shared a beautiful life until Curtis preceded her in death in 2009.
MaryAnn was a dedicated worker throughout her life, contributing her talents to various local employers including Polaris, Marvin Windows, Machinewell Inc., and the cleaning department at Roseau Area Hospital. She also took pride in working several other part-time positions over the years, always approaching her work with diligence and care.
She was a faithful member of Bethesda Lutheran Church of Skime, where her faith provided strength and community throughout her life.
MaryAnn had a zest for life and a wide range of interests that kept her hands and mind active. She was an accomplished crafter, finding joy in knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She loved working on puzzles and was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling to new places. Her competitive spirit shone through in both outdoor sports and indoor games, whether playing board games or cards with family and friends.
MaryAnn is survived by two brothers, one sister, five children, 15 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Curtis, her parents William and Marion VanDeHey, 11 sisters and brothers, her father and mother-in-law, and two brothers-in-law.
The family would like to give special thanks to Roseau Manor and staff for their kindness shown to MaryAnn during her time there.
MaryAnn will be remembered for her strong work ethic, her creative talents, her competitive nature, and her devotion to family and faith. Her legacy of determination and joy in life's simple pleasures will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Funeral Services for MaryAnn Jesme will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Skime at 11:00 a.m. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church.
