Mary E Mathews

Funeral services for Mary Mathews of Warroad, MN will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 11 am at the Family Fundamental Church west of Warroad.  A visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 5-7 with a 7:00 prayer service AT THE CHURCH.  Interment will be at the America Cemetery in Warroad.

Mary E. (Reynolds) Mathews born July 31, 1955 in Bangor, Maine, passed away on June 8, 2020 after her brief battle with colon cancer.  Mary has three children- Jaime (Brian) Dunton, Karen (Daryl) Bristlin and Kenny Mathews II.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings and a wonderful father-in-law.

Mary is survived by multiple siblings; her husband of 44 years, Ken; her grandchildren, Timothy, Rebekah, Faith, David, Hannah, Christopher, Elizabeth and Clayton will miss her smile.

                She followed her husband throughout his military career.  She was a homemaker for countless ages.  Mary was involved in her hometown of Warroad, as she owned Mary’s on Main for many years.  She loved being outside.  She enjoyed God’s creation immensely.  You could find her outside in her garden, fishing with her family and hunting in the fall.  You would usually find her with Koko, her faithful companion.

                She gave selflessly of her time and energy.  She loved her church family.  If she saw a need, she would meet that need.  She taught Sunday School, worked in AWANA programs, VBS and wherever an opportunity would arise.

Mary’s Celebration of Life viewing will be held on Wed., June 17th from 5-7 PM at the Family Fundamental church in Warroad, MN.  The funeral service is on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 11am at the church.
