Mary Agnes Corneliusen, Warroad, MN was born on January 26, 1957 in Minneapolis, MN to June and Anthony Kos.  She was the youngest of three children.  Mary’s life was taken on August 28, 2023.  She was 66 years old.

Mary left home at a young age and lived a rather nomadic lifestyle for many years.  Mama was a rolling stone.  She travelled to and lived in many, many places.  Mary took pride in the fact that she had been to 48 of the 50 states and had countless stories about her adventures.

Mary had a mouth and boy did she know how to use it.  Her vocabulary was colorful and you knew her opinion, always.  She was honest and spoke her mind, no matter what.  But, that mouth, paired with her life experiences, could sure tell a story.  From hitchhiking coast to coast following the Grateful Dead, to  “meeting” Tom Petty, she could captivate any audience.

Her taste in music was impeccable and her playlists were extensive.  She knew things about artists that they probably didn’t, and loved sharing all of her fun facts with anyone and everyone.  Every morning, she would turn on some “tunes”, usually “Grateful Dead Radio”, drink coffee, and get ready for her day.  She really enjoyed bonding with people over her love of music.

Mary had three children and she loved them fiercely.  She always said to, “look out for you and yours”, and that she did.  She would have gone to the ends of the earth and back to ensure her kids’ safety and happiness.  Mary always treated her kids’ friends as family and over the years she accumulated a number of “bonus kids”.  If you didn’t know by talking to her, you would have thought that she just had a whole bunch of kids.  Every one of them referred to her as “mom” and she expected it.

With all of those kids, came the grandkids.  She had nine of them and loved them all so hard.  Her and their eyes would just light up the instant they saw each other.  She had a unique bond with each of them and it was obvious to anyone in the room.  Mary’s grandkids were the poster children for being spoiled by grandma.  If they wanted something bad enough, they knew they could count on Grandma Mary.  She would find a way to get them what they wanted, just so she could see the smiles on their faces.

Mary was passionate and honest, sometimes to a fault, but she was also generous and caring.  She helped anyone who needed it in any way she could and always taught her own to do the same.  She lived hard and loved harder.  She will be sorely missed.

Mary is survived by her children Jonah (Angela Robinson) Isaacson, Allannah (Tyler Stoskopf) Meyers, Ciara (Tyler Bassingthwaite) Meyers and step-son Logan Corneliusen; siblings Anton Kos and Terry Kos; grandchildren Lola Colliflower, Jordyn Gilbert, Liam Isaacson, Felix Isaacson, Thor Stoskopf, Indy Corneliusen, Calvin Corneliusen, and Shiloh Corneliusen.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, husband Keith Meyers, grandson Jakob Isaacson, sister-in-law Judy Kos and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
