Marlys I. Foster (Born January 18, 1938 - Died November 2, 2021)

Marlys Ileen Hall was born to Earl and Beryl (Fuller) Hall, the seventh child of nine. She was born at home in Swift, MN on a cold winter day; she always said she hadn’t warmed up since! She grew up in Swift on a small farm. She graduated from Warroad High School.
Marlys and LaVerne Earl Ellenson were married October 1956 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Warroad. They lived in the Warroad area and raised four daughters. She stayed home with her girls while they were small, her faith in Jesus was always so important to her, she made sure we attended church, Sunday school, bible school and confirmation. She went to work at Christian Brothers hockey sticks for several years; Marvin Windows until she retired in 2003. Mom enjoyed sewing our clothes and doll clothes, curtains and quilts for her home; painting, pencil sketching, gardening and collecting dolls. She loved entertaining for holidays, but anytime worked for her!
She and Leslie Foster were married September 10, 1994. They worshiped at Woodland Bible Church; they enjoyed the fellowship; especially the couples group that met once a week at various homes for coffee.
Marlys is survived by her husband Les of Warroad and her four daughters, Rae (James) Glennen of Owatonna MN, Sherry Butler, Laurie (Rex) Welin both of Salol MN and Darcy Ellenson of Fort Worth FL, Also, Dean Foster of New Richmond WI, Mike Foster of Osakis MN, Beth (Leo) Judeh of St. Paul MN and Greg (Carrie) Foster of Pinehurst NC, 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2great-great grandchildren; siblings Lula Lindgren, George (Mary) Hall and Larry Hall.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Beryl Hall, husband LaVerne, sisters; Betty and Jessie, Brothers; Leland, Orval and Douglas, grandson, Bryce Luverne and Great granddaughter, Trinadi Michele.
