Services for Marjorie Madison of Roseau, MN will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church in Roseau. Interment was at the Moe-Rose Cemetery in Roseau, MN.
Marjorie B. Madison was born on May 29, 1934 to Allan and Winnie (Baker) Madison at Lancaster, MN. She attended school in Greenbush, MN and Sault Ste Marie, MI where she graduated in 1952.
Marge moved to Roseau in 1957 and she lovingly cared for her mother for many years. After her mother’s death in 1975 she began work as a CNA at Sheltering Oaks Skilled Care in Roseau. She continued there until she had to retire due to an injury.
Marge was a member of the First Baptist Church of Roseau where she taught a youth Sunday school class for many years.
Marge’s love for children was known to all who knew her. Her first love was babies! She was a wonderful storyteller to those youngsters she cared for. Stories were often told with a wonderful British accent and kept their interest at all times.
Marge became a resident of LifeCare Manor in 2011. She always enjoyed when LifeCare staff would bring their babies and toddlers to visit her. Her bulletin board was full of pictures – mostly of babies and toddlers.
Marge passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at LifeCare Manor in Roseau at the age of 85.
Marge is survived by her sister, Louvic Mattson of Roseau and sister-in-law Marie Madison of Lakeland, FL and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Hartley, Irvin, Mike, and Don Madison, Elaine Tureson, Emily Tureson, and Verna Madison.
