Margaret "Corky" A. Johnson

Margaret Ann “Corky” Johnson, the daughter of James N and Helen (Sorrells) Dunn was born December 19, 1936 in Granite City, Illinois and passed on to her heavenly home February 16, 2022 at the age of 85.

Margaret grew up in the Midwest and graduated from Whitefish Bay (Wisconsin) High School in 1955. She met her future husband Raymond Johnson while attending the University of Wisconsin, and they married July 1, 1957 in Presque Isle, Maine. Their family grew as they traveled for Ray’s work, and then settled in East Grand Forks, Minnesota where their three children completed high school. Margaret worked at the Grand Forks Credit Bureau for seventeen years, and then was employed by the Warroad Care Center after they moved to Roosevelt.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Raymond, sons James (Dawn) of Grand Forks and Michael (Candi) of Salol and daughter Ann (Larry) Morey of Hamilton, Ohio along with three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Marilyn Greene, and an infant sister and brother, and grandson Jeffrey Johnson.
