Margaret A. Geroy

A Funeral Service for Margaret A. Geroy of Roseau, MN will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 11:00AM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery. 

Margaret Ann Geroy passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025 at age 104 with family by her side.

Her parents and two of her older siblings emigrated from Germany in 1912. She was born the last of four children on October 28, 1921 in Elkwood township to John and Marie Meyers. She grew up in the Beltrami area between Winner and Olson’s corner.

She met Clayton Geroy and they were married in Wannaska in the fall of 1939. They went on to have three children. She was widowed in 1970 at age 49. In her later years she worked at the children’s home and then at Roseau high school.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Marie Meyers, brother John, sisters Katie (Cole), Louise (Hendershot) and son Ronald. She is survived by her son Roger, daughter Sharon (Lofton), grandchildren Daniel, Alan, Bradley, Sara, Peter, Joanna, Jesse, Jill, Jana, Kirk and Jane, as well as many great and great-great grandchildren.
