Lyle R. Nelson

Lyle R. Nelson, 67, of Baudette, MN passed away on May 16, 2025 at Lakewood Hospital, Baudette, with his beloved wife Laya Nelson of Baudette by his side.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Wilford and Flora Nelson, his sister Lola, along with his Aunt Fern and Uncle John Lamberson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Laya, fur babies (Curly, Lili and Stash), his brothers, Westly (Karen), Bruce and Brian, and Sister Inez (Bob) Schwegler and many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

He was an avid sportsman and gardener who served the community as a bartender and gas station clerk.

A memorial service for Lyle Nelson will be held at First Lutheran Church of Baudette on June 2, 2025 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mary Lee Gens officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Moose Lodge of Baudette.
