Lois Sylvia (Kveen) Losse passed away peacefully at LifeCare Manor on August 23, 2025 at the age of 90. She was born September 29, 1934 to George and Clara (Smedsmo) Kveen. She was baptized and confirmed in the Free Lutheran Church. She grew up on the farm with siblings Herdis, Leonard, Carol, Truman, and Marlys. She attended grade school at 49E and 49W and graduated from Roseau High School. She married Roy Losse on October 2, 1954 in Roseau. Together they had six children. Franklyn, Randell, Mylan, Vernon, Georgia, and Melanie.

Lois worked at Roseau Area Hospital from 1977-1989 in the Activities Department at Sheltering Oaks and had various other jobs within the hospital. In the retirement she did medical travel taking patients to various appointments. She was a member of the Norland Free Lutheran Church involved in the Ladies Aid, Sunday School, and Bible Study. She was also active with the Salol 4H Club, Salol Homemakers, Salol Garden Club, and Falun Coffee Club.

She enjoyed making quilts to give to grand children and crocheting dishcloths which she gave away to anyone that visited. She loved traveling and took many bus trips, having only missed visiting the states Hawaii and Florida. She went on countless trips to Branson, Missouri and was also involved in mission trips to Mexico.

Lois loved to visit, she never missed an opportunity to get together to socialize. She had a love for birds, loved to work jigsaw puzzles and continued to have her sense of humor to the very end. She looked forward to Galilee Bible Camp, helping in the kitchen during camps, where she created special friendships that lasted many years.

In April 2024 Lois moved to the Thief River Care Center where she enjoyed going on fishing outings and other various activities. In September she moved to LifeCare Manor to be closer to family and friends.

The family would like to thank Thief River Care Center and the Roseau Manor for taking care of our mother and grandmother. We appreciate the staff and all the care she received from both facilities.
