Kristy Kupsc

A Memorial service for Kristy Kupsc of International Falls, MN formerly of Baudette, MN will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 1:00PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Baudette, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Hillside (Zippel) Cemetery.

Kristy Rae (Thomas) Kupsc, 43, of International Falls, MN and formerly of Baudette, MN passed away Thursday morning May, 17, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, MN. Kristy was born September 15, 1974 in Grand Forks, ND. She was baptized at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Park River, ND and confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church in Williams, MN. Kristy moved to Warroad, MN at one year old and then to Williams, MN where she grew up. She attended kindergarten in Williams and grades 1-12 in Baudette, MN. She graduated from Lake of the Woods High School in Baudette. On August 14, 1993, Kristy married Pat Lucek. They had three children - Kara, Shawna, and Ben. She married Tony Kupsc on April 16, 2015. She attended College in Thief River Falls, graduating May 30, 1996 with a Nursing Degree. Kristy enjoyed working for years at Senior Homes; moving back to Baudette for a short time, then on to International Falls, MN. In recent years she spent a lot of time enjoying her three grandchildren, who were very special to her!  

Kristy is survived by her mother, Deanna (Nick) Painovich of  Williams, MN; father, Dave (Sue) Thomas of Baudette, MN; grandmother, Margaret Thomas, of Randolf, WI; children, Kara Lucek  (Jarrod) of International Falls, MN, Shawna Lucek (Nick) of Fargo, ND and Ben Lucek of International Falls, MN; grandchildren, Kali and Riley Sether of Fargo, ND, Braydon Donnell of International Falls, MN; brothers, Ryan Thomas of Williams, MN, Blaine (Angela) Thomas of Prior Lake, MN; as well as niece and nephew, Ava and Grayson Thomas.
