Joyce Carol Woidtke passed away on April 6, 2020 at the LifeCare Medical Center at the age of 86.

Joyce was born on August 7, 1933 in Beltrami, MN to Hilmer and Viola (Ingvalson) Allen. She attended grade school in Beltrami and graduated from Fertile-Beltrami High School. Joyce graduated from Moorhead State University with an elementary education teaching degree and taught in the elementary school in Roseau for 21 years.

Joyce married Kurt Woidtke of Roseau, MN on October 12, 1957. She loved to read, embroider, do volunteer work (at the LifeCare Medical Center) and spend time outside on the farm. She was a member of the Pine Grove Lutheran Church, Roseau Hospital Auxiliary, International Flying Farmers, Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers Society and Roseau Flying Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra (Steven) Johnson of Salol and Carol (Todd) Benjamin of Lake Elmo, MN; 5 grandchildren, Eric Johnson of Roseau, Colin Johnson of Sandpoint, ID and Alex (Kristi) Johnson of Silt, CO; and Devan (Sam Weinberg) Benjamin and Chloe (fiancé, Nate Converse) Benjamin all of Des Moines, IA; great-grandson, Kaden; and many nieces and nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kurt in 2004; and brother, Wayne Allen.
