Joshua D. Anderson

A Memorial Service for Joshua D. Anderson of Roseau, MN will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 2:00PM at Rose Free Lutheran Church in Roseau, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Falun Cemetery at a later date.

Joshua Dale Anderson, 26, of Roseau, MN, received his wings on March 14, 2024 at the Sanford Hospice House in Fargo, ND.

 Josh was the biggest jokester with a huge heart. He loved socializing and was competitive to the core. His mind could recall a memory from 15 years ago with perfect detail.

In Josh’s spare time, he liked to play cards and board games like Poker, Blackjack, Pool, Cribbage, Backgammon and Superman. He also really enjoyed playing pickle ball and watching the Minnesota Twins, Vikings and Wild. 

The great outdoors were a big part of Josh’s life. He loved to work on the farm and keep the grass mowed. If there was good music and a campfire, you could find him smiling and jamming. Wildlife hunting and watching was a hobby he enjoyed throughout his entire life. Country cruising was his favorite.

Josh was proud of many things but being the baseball manager in high school, having his tricked out golf cart and getting to be an uncle were his top three.

He is preceded in death by grandma Dorothy Anderson; grandpa Dale Anderson; grandpa Erwin Nelson; father Danny Anderson; uncle Dave Anderson; aunt Dolleen Anderson; and cousin Kyle Sagedahl.

Josh is survived by grandma Marian Nelson; mother Jolene Anderson; sisters Hanna Anderson, Tara (Jake Gustafson) Anderson; nephew Myles Gustafson; grandpa Leon (Shyla) Johnson; grandma Kay Anderson; uncles Jack Johnson, Bernie Brazier; aunts Diane Pellegrini, Jody (Fred) Smith, Jane (Joel) Tradup, Joan (Desi) Sagedahl, Sandra (Paul) Torgerson, Lisa (Eric) Nelson, Jessica Nelson; numerous cousins and friends.

Josh was a fighter and will be forever missed.
