Jerome "Jerry" Albin

A Funeral Service for Jerome "Jerry" Albin, 76, of Roseau, MN, will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 11 AM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau, MN.  A visitation will be held one hour prior at the Funeral Home.

Jerome Albin was born on May 15, 1950, to John and Margaret Albin in Roseau, Minnesota. He lived 76 years as a man of quiet strength, steady hands, and an open heart.

Jerome earned an associate degree in carpentry, a craft he carried with him every day. Those who knew him knew where to find him: either out on the farm under the open sky, or settled in at the local diner, conversing with friends and sharing stories.

In 2009, Jerome married Mir Albin, and joyfully welcomed her children, Aizer and Nikki Alaras, as his own. The following year brought the arrival of his daughter Isabella, completing the family he devoted himself to until his final days.

Jerome's love for the outdoors, music, and a good story made him a man who was easy to be around and impossible to forget. He was known in the farming community as a stubborn and kind old soul, and those who loved him would tell you both were true in equal measure. His patience was a gift. His kindness was contagious. And his unwavering commitment to his family showed all who knew him what it truly means to love and serve others well.

He will be deeply missed.

Jerome is survived by his wife, Mir; his children, Aizer, Nikki Alaras, and Isabella Albin; and the many friends and neighbors whose lives were richer for knowing him.
