J.B. Copeland

Memorial services for J.B. Copeland of Roseau, MN will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Roseau Event Center (the former Eagle's Building) 208 15th Ave SW in Roseau.  Military honors by the Roseau Memorial Honor Guard.

JB Copeland, age 62, went with the angels on December 31, 2019 at the LifeCare Roseau Manor at the age of 62.  .

He was born to Leslie Kenneth Copeland, Sr. and Verona Maxine Javine on January 13, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. JB was raised in the small surrounding county areas for his childhood and teen years. As an adult JB moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma where he worked as a laborer and later joined the army and was based out of Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

JB made residences in Arkansas City, Kansas and near Houston, Texas. He was married twice and was a proud father of two sons and two daughters. JB later moved to Greenbush, Minnesota and worked as a laborer. He established many loving friendships and close relationships with people in his life. His final residence was in Roseau, Minnesota where he resided with Janice and they enjoyed living and having their friends and family that they would visit with. He enjoyed spending his time playing dice, cards, and fishing whenever he could.

JB is survived by his children Brian Copeland of Kansas, Luci Peters of Oklahoma, Michael Hollerbach of Texas, and Cecilia Kinsey of Texas. He had six grandsons, two granddaughters, and one great granddaughter. Other survivors include Janice Kujava of Roseau; sister Jo Merceal of Oklahoma; several special people in his life that he had taken as his own family; several nieces and nephews.

JB was preceded in death by both parents; sisters Benna Turner and Donnabelle Maxwell; brother Kenneth Copeland.
