Irvin A Reme

A Memorial Visitation for Irvin Reme of Roosevelt, MN, will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 1:00-4:00 PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad. A Celebration of Life will be on August 28, 2021, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in St. Cloud, MN from 1:00 - 3:00 PM.

Irvin Reme died on June 29, 2021 at the age of 84. 

Irvin Arthur Reme was born in Benson, MN, on March 9, 1937 to Ingvald Reme and Aurelia “Sally” (Morton) Pederson.

On September 27, 1957, Irvin married Shirley Telschow in Spring Lake Park, MN. He served in the US Air Force from October 1962 until May 1963 and served in Active Reserve for an additional eight years.

Irvin worked a number of years as an over-the-road truck driver. In Cold Spring, he and his wife owned Cold Spring Paint and Wallpaper. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in St. Cloud, MN and Mount Carmel in Roosevelt, MN. Irvin was a member of the Cold Spring American Legion 455, and served a number of years with the Cold Spring Lions Club.

Irvin loved nature and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time outside with his dog. He enjoyed visiting with people, had a great sense of humor and loved music.

Irvin is survived by his wife Shirley; daughters Penny (Kraig) Thompson, Sherry (Anthony S.) Head and Carrie (Don) Burggraff; daughter-in-law Debbie Reme; grandchildren Tanya Ahlbaum, Travis Reme, Lacy Bauer, Drew Ostendorf, Jon Head, Matt Head, Elisha Head, Josiah Head, Brandon Burggraff, Breana Burggraff, Bret Burggraff, and Braden Burggraff; 15 great grandchildren; brothers Rollie (Bev) Pederson and David (Debbie) Pederson; sister-in-law Donna Pederson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Daniel; and brother Ray.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at LifeCare Medical Center and the VA Hospital for their care and kindness.

The family also wishes to express their sincere thanks for the flowers and other expressions of love during their time of bereavement.
