Harlan Duane Wellen

Harlan Wellen passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 1, 2022 in Roosevelt at the age of 64.

Harlan Duane Wellen was born on January 25, 1958, in International Falls, MN to Lloyd and Jeanette (Solem) Wellen, one of four children. Harlan grew up in International Falls, graduating from International Falls High School in 1976. After graduation, Harlan moved to Warroad to work at Marvin Windows and Doors. He was a highly devoted employee, working there for 42 years before retiring on July 12.

 He and Norma Stegman were married by the Justice of the Peace on July 2, 2004.

Harlan loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed mowing lawns with his John Deere lawnmower. He also enjoyed riding four-wheelers and playing dice for quarters with his friends while listening to country or rock music

Harlan is survived by his wife, Norma; daughter, Amanda; and two granddaughters; siblings Linda (Dave), Patsy (Greg), and Donny; brother-in-law Gerald and six sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Jeanette.

A Visitation for Harlan will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad from 2:00-4:00pm.
