George Campbell Obituary

George Ronald “Ron” Campbell was born to Henry A. and Laura (Wilson) Campbell on January 30, 1940 in Larned Kansas. Parents divorced and mother married Dude Love. He was raised in Kansas, Oklahoma and North Dakota.

Ron was married to Shirley Campbell and they had three children, Mark Eugene, Marie and Gregory Ronald Campbell. They divorced on September 11, 1978.

Ron was married to Marlys Anderson Campbell until her death in January 2003.

Ron married Nyla A Lakoduk September 26, 2003 in Warroad, MN. Both were retired when they married. Ron pumped sewers in ND in the summer. They spent several winters in Eureka, Kansas near his son Mark, Nyla passed away August 15, 2020. Ron resided near Warroad, Mn until April 2021 when he entered the nursing home in Hallock, MN due to dementia. Ron passed away in his sleep December 26, 2021 at Kittson Memorial Health Care. He will be cremated then buried beside Nyla in Parshall, ND the spring of 2022.

Ron is survived by daughter and son-in-law Jodi and Charles Brydon of Warroad, MN, son and daughter-in-law Gregory R and Heidi Campbell of Fayetteville, Arkansas; grandchildren, John (DawnRehm) Brydon of Warroad, MN, Chrystalyn (Joshua) Bernard or Roosevelt, MN Michael (Nicole) Brydon of Roseau, MN, Collin and Caroline of Fayetteville, Arkansas; 12 great grandkids, Brianna, Katelynne, Zachary Brydon, Ben Rehm, Alexis and Draven Bernard, Emma Vickaryous, Austyn, Hannah and Moryah Bourman, Theryn and Stephan Brydon, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wifes, Marlys and Nyla Campbell; son, Mark E. Campbell; daughter, Marie Campbell; brothers, Alford and Eddie Campbell; sister, Janet Leingang; half brothers, Gerald, Alvie and Elmer Love.
