Gale Einar and Lois Yvonne Bergren

A Memorial Service will be held for Gale and Lois at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 26 at Hope Cemetery in Roseau. This will be followed by a gathering to Celebrate Gale and Lois’ Life at the Event Center (previously Eagles Club) on Hwy 11 West in Roseau.

Gale Einar Bergren passed away peacefully May 7, 2024, at LifeCare Roseau Manor at the age of 70 after fighting multiple health conditions over the past few years. He was born in Roseau on May 19, 1953, to Einar and Thyle (Wiegel) Bergren. Gale had one older sister, Lois Yvonne Bergren. Lois was born in Roseau on July 13, 1949. She passed away from cancer, with Gale at her side, at her home in California on 5/30/2018.

Gale graduated from Roseau High School in 1971 and then attended Staples Area Vocational School completing classes in small engine mechanics, internal combustion engine overhaul and graduated with a degree in heavy equipment operation and maintenance. He loved almost anything with an engine; motorcycles, snowmobiles, trucks, and cars. He drove truck all around the country for several companies including North Star and Byfuglien and later owned his own truck. Gale also loved Flea Markets and hunting and fishing when he was younger. Gale completed classes in Fire Fighter Training and was always available to help others. He had a generous heart and a great sense of humor for sharing jokes. He also loved hanging out with his friends.

Lois moved to CA shortly after graduating from Roseau High School in 1967 where she was the Office Manager and Legal Assistant at a law firm for many  years. She loved dogs and they always had a special place in her heart. She enjoyed the beautiful weather in southern CA and belly dancing which she did for several years.

Gale and Lois are preceded in death by their parents and grandparents. They are survived by several cousins and friends.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the wonderful love and care provided by the staff at the Roseau Manor over the past few years.
