Franklin "Frank" Terry Homme

Franklin Terry Homme of Salol passed away on August 2, 2022, at LifeCare Roseau.

Frank was born on July 4, 1951 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born to Harry Haney and was adopted by Roger Homme. His Mother was Mary Ann Schepp Homme.

On September 12, 1981 Frank married Lorie Lindgren at the Norland Church in Salol.

He received his GED while in the service. Frank served 3 years in the Army, stationed in Nuremburg, Germany during the Vietnam war and was discharged in 1970. As his stepfather was in the Air Force Frank followed in his footsteps. Frank attended many different schools and was very athletic and enjoyed all sports.

He worked many different jobs, such as in heavy construction, as a mechanic, factory worker, and as a fishing guide on Lake of the Woods. Frank raised llamas and belted Galloway and beef cattle.

Frank was a member of the Norland Free Lutheran Church prior to his illness and served on many of its boards, holding different positions. He enjoyed the outdoors, wildlife, tinkering on machines, and following his grandchildren’s sports. Frank loved his grandchildren unconditionally.

No matter how difficult the situation was, Frank would find something positive to focus on. He supported and encouraged everyone to chase their dreams and follow their hearts.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger Homme Jr.

Frank is survived by his wife, Lorie; children, Angela (Randy), Justin (Sarah); grandchildren, Conner, Logan, Patrick, Natalie, Dominick, Teddy, Tyson, Caroline, Isaac, and Ingrid; brother, Mike; brothers-in-law, Richard (Bonnie) and Jon (Valerie).

The family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone for all the prayers and words of encouragement during the families difficult time.

A Funeral Service for Frank Homme of Salol will be held Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad at 4:00pm with a visitation an hour prior. Interment will be at Norland Cemetery in Salol.
