Eva Katharine (Karlsson) Olson

Eva passed away peacefully on May 14, 2023 at LifeCare Roseau Medical Center at the age of 95.

Eva was born on August 18, 1927 on the family farm in Salol, MN to Karl and Britta Karlsson. She attended school in Salol and worked on the family farm. She also worked at Messelt’s, the phone company and the Roseau school.

She married Lloyd Olson on April 19, 1947. They had three children – Lyle, Linda and Robert. Lloyd and Eva were members of the First Lutheran Church.

Eva is survived by her children, Lyle (Chris) Olson of Deerwood, MN, Linda (Lee) Moyer of Coon Rapids, MN, and Robert Olson of Roseau; grandchildren, John Olson of Westminster, CO, Brian (Alicia) Olson of St. Paul, MN, Fred (Kristy) Moyer of Andover, MN, Matt (Tiffany) Moyer of Andover, MN; and great-grandchildren, Victor, Ava, Landon and Reyna. She is also survived by her brother, Vernon, of Mesa, AZ and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Einar, Seth and Karl Walter; sisters Erma, Anna, Alve, Svea, and Jean.

Eva enjoyed cooking, knitting, playing cards, watching the MN Twins and MN Wild, and going to hockey games.

A Funeral Service for Eva Olson of Roseau will be held Saturday, May 20th, 2023 at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau at 6:00pm with a visitation an hour prior. Interment will be held at Spruce Cemetery in Roseau.
