Elsie M. Lislegard

A Memorial service for Elsie M. Lislegard of Roseau, MN will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Elsie Mae Lislegard passed away peacefully on October 18, 2020 at the LifeCare Roseau Manor at the age of 96.

Elsie Mae McFarlane was born on June 5, 1924 in Greenbush, MN to Cora (Lindtott) and Alex McFarlane.  She attended school in Badger, MN and later married Ervin Bredeson and farmed in Moose River Township near Gatzke, MN.  After his death, she worked at Polaris Industries for several years.  She married Holger Lislegard and Elsie continued to work on their farm in the Pinecreek area, until residing the past 12 years at LifeCare Roseau Manor.  She and Holger spent several winters in Arizona.

She enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary of Roseau and an active member of the Pinecreek Lutheran Church.  Blessed be her memory.

She is survived by her three daughters, Julie Bredeson of Cambridge, MN, Joan (Dean) Larson of Isanti, MN and Joslyn Morey of Pinecreek, MN; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ervin and Holger; daughter, Judy McInnis (and husband, Clay); grandsons, Ian and Clay Jr. and great-grandson Tucker.
