Elijah Major Obituary

Elijah James Major, age 16, passed away February 29, 2024, at his home. Elijah was born on March 1, 2007, to Brian Major, originally from Morson, Ontario, and Jeannette Major, of Baudette, at Life Care Medical Center in Roseau, Minnesota. Elijah was a loving son to his parents and loving brother to Zachery Major and Josiah Major.

Elijah was a student at Lake of the Woods High School. Elijah was involved in Knowledge Bowl, Band, Cornerstone Assembly Youth Group, and was beginning to practice with the basketball team to be ready to play his senior year. Elijah had a love for card tricks, origami, gaming, and making people smile and laugh as his Grandpa Brian Major Sr., and his father liked to do. Elijah was genuine, kind, full of love and care for others. He was a gentle giant known to his classmates as “Big E”. Elijah was an extreme joy to be around and was a tremendous light to those around him, not just because of his height, but his heart. Elijah will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. But there is comfort in knowing he is in the love, joy, and presence of his Savior, Jesus.

He is survived by his parents Brian and Jeannette Major, his brothers Zachery Major and Josiah Major, his Grandma Diane Major, Grandma Mary, Grandpa Kerry, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many precious friends.

He was preceded in death by Grandma Yvonne Rioux, Grandpa Brian Major Sr., Uncle Birdy Major, and precious great aunts and uncles.

A Funeral Service for Elijah Major will take place Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Lake of the Woods School at 1:00 pm with a visitation two hours prior. Interment will take place at Elm Park Cemetery at a later date.
