Diane L. Larson

Diane Lynn Larson passed away peacefully on May 16, 2021 at her home in Roseau at the age of 67.

Diane was born on July 18, 1953 to Luverne and Lorraine (Myrman) Welin in Roseau, MN.  She graduated from Roseau High School in 1972 and worked various jobs; Marvin Windows, cleaned at the Warroad Hospital and worked at Nelson’s Café, housekeeping at hotels and finally at Polaris Industries from 1991-2002. 

She loved to help out around the farm, collect baskets of old pictures, hunt deer, smoking cigarettes and loved her flowers.  Spending time with her grandchildren and family was her first priority. She was a wonderful, caring person and always up for a good chat and a cup of coffee!  Her request was to not have any funeral services…”If they don’t want to come see me alive, don’t bother when I’m dead!”

She is survived by her husband, Sheldon Larson of Roseau; son, Caleb (Samantha) Larson; grandchildren, Kylee and Lily; siblings, Vern (Elaine) Welin, Phyllis (Jack) Vinesett, Rex (Laurie) Welin, Dale Welin, Brent (Kathy) Welin and Nancy (Gary) Hammer; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Ellen; brother, Mark; sister-in-law, Cindy Welin.
