Debra "Debbie" F. Polensky

A visitation for Debbie will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 2-4PM at Woodland Bible Church in Warroad, MN with a prayer service at 4pm. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery following the service.

Debra “Debbie” Polensky, age 69, passed away peacefully on November 3rd, 2024  LifeCare Manor, Greenbush, Minnesota. Debbie was born to Phyllis and Ernest Otto in Ray, Minnesota. They later moved to Warroad where they continued to grow their family and owned a farm. Debbie married Clyde Stewart in March 1973. They had three children Mitchell, Myron, and Sheila. Clyde passed away from cancer in 1986 leaving Debbie with three children to raise on her own. She later married Eugene Polensky in 1990 and they lived a happy life together until he passed away in 2017. The last years of her life were spent happily with Archie Morand. Everyone knew Debbie for her jokes, contagious smile, and love of hats and owls. She worked many jobs around Warroad throughout her life including various restaurants, hot-stuff pizza, and most recently the Hampton Inn which she loved. She enjoyed waitressing the most. She mostly loved to talk to people and tell them jokes, always looking to put a smile on someone's face. Debbie was always a hard worker and enjoyed working. Many people also know her for her kind heart and for always putting others before herself. She enjoyed doing many kinds of crafts including embroidery, knitting, crocheting, and sewing. Everyone who received her crafts, like her pillowcases, knew she put a lot of thought and effort into her pieces.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents Phyllis and Ernest Otto, her brothers and sisters Gerald, Timmy, Bonnie, Janice, and Sheldon, her husband's Clyde and Eugene, and her grandson Zachary. She is survived by her three children Mitchell (Joanne) from Roosevelt, MN; Myron from Stevensville, MT; Sheila(John) from Warroad, MN; and her stepson Scott from International Falls, MN, as well as her grandchildren Alexander, Dominic, Savannah, Sheldon, Vance, Kaitlyn, Leo, Joseph, Sky Blue, and Uriah. She also has two great-grandsons, Harlan and Darius. She is also survived by her sisters Shirley Bebensee, and Minetta (Ed) Kraynyk, her sister-in-law Sue (Gary) Cencich, and her brothers Larry Otto, Beany (Diane) Otto, Cal (Julie) Otto, and also many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who know and love her. She's always going to be in our memory and our hearts.
