Daniel D. Hammer

A Memorial Service for Daniel D. Hammer of Warroad, MN will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 4:00PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Warroad, MN. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 from 5-7PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad, MN and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. 

Daniel David Hammer was born in Roseau, MN to David Hammer and Kayla Qualey. His family moved to Warroad, MN when he was five years old and Daniel has been living and going to school in Warroad ever since. Daniel loved sports, playing both basketball and football. His true passion was football, he always said he was going to play in the NFL someday. Daniel also enjoyed riding dirt bike, fishing, riding fourwheeler, camping with grandma and grandpa, spending time with his friends meeting up and playing basketball.

He is preceded in death by his grandma, Grace Qualey; great-grandma’s, Marlys Hulst, Judy Qualey, Diane Qualey; great-grandpa’s, Clarence Hulst, Shadow Qualey, George Hammer; great-uncle’s, Joe Risser, Rocky Hulst; great-aunt, Jan Stenvik.

He is survived by his dad, David (Christina) Hammer; mom, Kayla (Andrew) Landin; siblings, Jaxon Hammer, Madyson Landin, Mia Landin, Sierra Detweiler, Savannah Detweiler, Isaac Detweiler; grandpa’s, Eric Qualey, Mike (Julie Risser) Hammer, Wes Smith, Victor Camacho; grandma’s, Tammy Landin, Tammy Henn, Diane Long; great-grandpa, Vernon Landin; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and other family.
