Dale R. Foss

A Memorial Service for Dale R. Foss of Greenbush, MN will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:00AM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Dale Roger Foss passed away at LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau, MN on December 31, 2022 at the age of 67.

Dale was born on July 23, 1955 in Greenbush, MN to Thilmer and Agnette (Elton) Foss. He attended school in Greenbush, graduating from Greenbush High School in 1973. After high school he attended Northland Junior College in Thief River Falls, MN. Dale was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Bethlehem Free Lutheran Church in rural Greenbush.

Dale was employed as a senior designer by Fluor Engineering in Irvine, CA and in Iran from August 1977 to January 4, 1979. Upon returning from Iran he worked in Beaumont, Texas until he purchased the laundromat in Greenbush in 1982. He also worked at Quality Home Builders in the Badger/Greenbush area as a carpenter. After that he worked with his brother and nephews at Jon’s Auto in Greenbush until his retirement.

Dale was a volunteer member of the Greenbush Fire Department and he enjoyed football, NASCAR, restoring vintage cars and gas pumps, building things with wood, and archery. He loved a good game of pinochle.

Dale is survived by his brother, David Foss of Greenbush; sister-in-law Holly Foss of Greenbush; nephews Jared (Christine) Foss, Jamen (Rachel) Foss and Troy (Jess) Foss, all of Greenbush; nieces Crystal (Lance) Peterson of Bemidji, MN, Kaci (Dane) Wiskow of Greenbush and Morgan (Dennis) Bukowski of Alvarado, MN; great-nieces and nephews Erin (Jordan) Wahl, Bryton, Jamee and Camber Foss, Stella and Isaiah Foss, Wyatt and Westin Peterson, Holly, Emerson, Akker, and Ren Wiskow, Will and Amity Foss, Kate, Georgia, Korbi and Signe Bukowski; great-great nephew and niece Thayer and Goldie Wahl.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thilmer and Agnette Foss; brother Jon M. Foss and sister-in-law Sharon Foss.
