Brenda Leigh Rone

Brenda Leigh Rone passed away on November 6, 2021 in Duluth at the age of 59.

Brenda was born in Yuma, AZ on January 22, 1962 to Roderick and Daisey (Brock) Rone. She graduated from Lake of the Woods High School in 1981.  She attended Riverland Community College in Austin MN, obtaining her License Practical Nurse certificate in 2007 and her Associate of Science RN degree in 2009.

Over the years Brenda worked at Olmsted Medical Center Hospital in Rochester, MN, Comfort Home Health Care, also in Rochester, and Recover Health (home health care) for Itasca and Cass Counties in Minnesota.  She was a “camp companion” while living in Rochester.

Brenda dedicated her life to taking care of others. She often put others’ needs before her own. She loved her family and was extremely compassionate about her “fur babies”. She fostered many kittens and cats and had a fondness for rescuing and spoiling special needs cats and kittens. Brenda was owner and operator of Kittens N S’More. She also enjoyed gardening.

Brenda is survived by her step-mother, Lorraine Rone of Baudette; siblings, Rick Rone (Jenelyn Laverdure) of Baudette; Darlene Rone Gilbeck (Bruce) of St. Charles, MN; Michael Rone of Penascola, FL; Karen Mosher-Frank (John) of Glensferry, ID; David Mosher of Baudette; Lori Mosher-Thompson (Rocky) of Baudette; Mike Mosher (Estelle Simard-Mosher) of Rainy River, Ontario; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents Roderick W. Rone I and Daisey L. (Brock); brother Terry Mosher; niece Angela Thompson and great-nephew Tristan Westlake

A visitation for Brenda will take place on Wednesday, November 17, at the First Congregational Church in Baudette from 11:00-2:00pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm and burial at Elm Park Cemetery in Baudette.
