Bradley Neil Hanson, 69, of Baudette, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Sanford Hospital in Bemidji.
Brad was born to Grace and Noreen Hanson of Baudette on January 26, 1956, in the middle of a snowstorm. He attended school in Baudette and graduated from Lake of the Woods High School in 1974 and from the carpentry course at Bemidji Vo-Tech in 1976. After working in carpentry for a brief time, Brad went to work for Bodahl Plumbing and Heating as a journeyman. During this time he obtained his Master Plumber’s license, and eventually purchased the plumbing shop, maintaining his Master Plumber's license until he retired in 2021.
Brad enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening, loved his dogs and was an avid reader.
He met and married his Schmoopie in 2006 after getting reacquainted with her at their 30-year class reunion. He adored his grandsons, his best friend and brother Joel, and his goldendoodle Ruff.
He is preceded in death by mother Grace, father Noreen, and many Johnson/Hanson aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Heidi (Kevin), grandsons Blake and Cameron, brother Joel (Liz), niece and nephew Heather (Ted) and Ian.
