A Funeral Service for Beverly Heppner of Warroad will take place at the Warroad Senior Living Center Chapel on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 10:30am. Interment will be conducted at Riverside Cemetery.

Beverly May Heppner was born on September 23rd, 1932 to Phillip Hardy and Helen (Hipsher) Hardy. Beverly married Leonard Heppner on January 18th, 1953 at the Woodland Mennonite Church in Warroad, MN. They moved to Hastings, MN for ten years and then to St. Paul for another ten years where in St. Paul Beverly did bookkeeping for the Roseville State Bank and bookkeeping for Stevenson’s Clothing Store. In 1974, Leonard and Berverly moved back to Warroad where Berverly worked at the Warroad Cenex Gas Station as a bookkeeper. As a young girl, she attended The Mission Covenant Church in Warroad. While attending there at one point, she made the decision to follow Jesus. She loved Jesus all of her life and is now with Him. She would never sing along at church but at home, as children we would hear her humming hymns. She was not a discipliner but she knew the words that motivated us kids to do right. Those words were, “I will tell your dad when he comes home”. And on warm summer nights, when we played outside, we knew mom was watching out for us when she would turn on and off the back yard light signaling us to come in. Mom had a heart for young people as she would donate money to church to be given to children that were attending Bible camp. We will always be thankful for the life God gave her and we will miss her always. Beverly is survived by son David (Nancy) Heppner of Prineville OR, daughter Diane (Rod) Pierce of Melbourne FL, daughter Geraldine Rasmussen of Davenport ND, son Gerald (Silvana) Heppner of Lake City FL, and son Doug (Sonia) Heppner of Warroad MN, sister Alice Smith of Hastings MN, and several nieces and nephews and cousins. Also surviving are five granddaughters, six grandsons, and sixteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Heppner, brothers Ken Hardy, Willard Hardy, Willis Hardy, John Hardy, Donald Hanes, and sister Phyllis Aarhus, and sister Bernice. The Heppner family cannot adequately express our deep gratitude for the care mom was given by her caregivers at the Warroad Senior Living Center. The compassion and care provided to our mom was beyond what we could ever have hoped for. Thank you to all involved in our mom’s care. Beverly went to be with her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, September 9th, 2023.
