Beverly Ann Bucy, the daughter of Donald Case and Gladys (Rose), was born on March 5, 1946 in Minneapolis, MN. After high school, Bev graduated from beauty school in 1964 as she knew as a young girl that is what she wanted to do. She met John Bucy while attending beauty school and later the two were married in St. Paul, MN on January 4, 1965. They were married 41 years until he passed in September 2006.
John and Bev made their home in Circle Pines, MN where she owned and operated her own hair salon in their home. In 1974, they moved to Pierz, MN where she worked as a beautician for 4 years in Little Falls before moving to Roseau in 1978. She was employed at Golden Shears in Roseau until retirement in 2006.
Bev and John permanently moved to their lake home at the Northwest Angle in 2006 where Bev enjoyed fishing and sightseeing in the islands area of Lake of the Woods. She enjoyed being outdoors and feeding the critters. Some of her other hobbies also included golf, bowling, and playing bridge with her friends and neighbors. Bev spent hours crocheting and made beautiful quilts or scarfs while enjoying the weekly “sit and sew” with her friends.
In August 2019, Bev moved to Lilac Homes Memory Care in Moorhead, MN where she spent the last nine months making new friends. Bev passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2020 after a brief battle with COVID-19 under the loving care of Lilac Homes Memory Care staff and Hospice of the Red River Valley.
