Arthur A. Thiessen

A public visitation for Arthur A. Thiessen of Warroad, MN will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 4-6 PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad, MN. Arthur passed away at the age of 68.

Arthur Abraham Thiessen was born March 14, 1953 in Warroad, MN to Abraham Thiessen and Margaret (Harder) Thiessen. He graduated high school from Warroad High in 1971. After graduation Art joined the United States Army and served for 3 years. On July 3, 1976 Art and Delsie Kaye Lindgren were married. They had one daughter, Allison in 1984. 

Through out the years Art worked many different jobs including owning his own body shop, working for the DNR fighting forest fires, and driving truck.

He enjoyed snowmobiling, riding his Harley, telling jokes, and being an all around prankster; always keeping people on their toes and wondering what he would say or do next. 

Art is survived by his daughter Allison (Jeremiah) Brown, grand children Taylor Halverson and Jameson Brown, sisters Delsie Konoske and Lynda (Dave) Smith and many aunts, nieces, cousins, and in laws. He was preceded in death by his wife Delsie, his parents Abe and Margaret, and his sister Margaret Ann.
